PS and CTP aluminum plates are processed by hot rolling and cold rolling, and the surface is coated with photosensitive resin after special treatment. They are important materials in the modern printing industry and are widely used in various offset printing plates. At present, the main aluminum substrates used for PS/CTP plates are 1050 aluminum plates, 1060 aluminum plates, and 1070 aluminum plates. They have become an undisputed PS/CTP plate substrate due to their low density, high strength, good forming, good hydrophilicity, high stability, and good surface treatment.

PS plate base aluminum plate: mainly used for traditional photosensitive printing plates, usually 1050 aluminum plate, 1060 aluminum plate and 1070 aluminum plate. These aluminum alloys have high purity (aluminum content ≥99.50%, ≥99.60% and ≥99.70% respectively), ensuring excellent printing quality and durability.

CTP plate base aluminum plate: used for computer direct platemaking technology, requiring higher surface quality and physical properties to adapt to modern high-speed printing equipment. CTP plates also usually use 1050 aluminum plates or 1060 aluminum plates, but the thickness is slightly different, usually 0.28mm, which is slightly thicker than the PS plate base to improve rigidity and stability.
