Cans are the most commonly used beverage packaging materials in our lives, such as beer, beverages, cans, etc. Aluminum alloys for cans are: 3004 & 3104 aluminum strips for can body, 5052 aluminum strips for can lids, 5182 aluminum strips for pull rings.
● 3004 & 3104 aluminum alloy for can body
3004 and 3104 aluminum sheet plate belong to Al-Mn alloy, have good formability, weldability, corrosion resistance, tensile strength and elongation, deep drawing performance, and oxidation resistance. Carbonated beverages contain carbonates, which are easy to corrode metals, so beverage cans must be corrosion-resistant in addition to being light. 3104 aluminum plate and 3004 aluminum plate for can bodies, will form an oxide film in the air (aluminum oxide), can prevent carbonated beverages from oxidizing and corroding the can bodies. The common used tempers are H14 and H19, with a thickness range of 0.25-0.45mm.
● 5052 aluminum alloy for can lids, 5182 aluminum alloy for pull rings
5052 aluminum strip and 5182 aluminum strip are both aluminum-magnesium alloys with good corrosion resistance, weldability, good cold workability, and medium strength. Their surfaces are very bright after polishing. However, the 5182 aluminum alloy has a higher magnesium content than the 5052 aluminum alloy, and a small amount of silicon is added, so the weldability is better than 5052 aluminum alloy. Therefore, the 5052 aluminum strip is mostly used for can lids, and the 5182 aluminum strip is mostly used for pull rings. 5052 and 5182 aluminum coils are used as can cover materials, temper is H19, with a thickness of 0.2-0.25mm.

The aluminum alloys for cans materials we produce can achieve flat plate shape, more precise thickness control, and can guarantee a thickness tolerance of ±0.005mm, ensuring stable post-processing and meeting customer needs.
◆ Flatness: The strips are not allowed to have obvious waves, the wave height within 1 meter does not exceed 3mm, and the waves do not exceed 3/meter.
◆ Side curvature: The side curvature of the product on any 2000mm length should not be greater than 0.5mm.
◆ End warping: For any product cut with a length of 1500mm, the height of the end warping is ≤5mm.
◆ Joints: No joints are allowed.
◆ Surface quality: serious bubbles, missing coating, scratches, corrosion, oil spots, peeling, stripes, color difference, spots, roller marks, periodicity, etc. that affect the appearance quality of the product are not allowed, burrs <= 0.04mm.
◆ End face quality: end faces are neat, rolled tightly without loose layers, staggered layers ≤ 2mm, tower shape ≤ 5mm.
