5052 marine aluminum plate has become one of the ideal materials in shipbuilding due to its excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability and moderate strength. It can meet the comprehensive requirements of ships for lightweight, corrosion resistance and strength, and is widely used in the manufacture of various ship parts.
The commonly used alloy states of 5052 marine aluminum plate include O, H32, H111, and H112. Among them, 5052 O aluminum plate and 5052 H32 aluminum plate are the most widely used. Compared with 5083 aluminum alloy and 5086 aluminum plate, 5052 marine aluminum plate has lower strength, but it can be strengthened by work hardening process (5052 H32). Its good formability and fatigue resistance make it the preferred material for manufacturing economical aluminum ships.

◆ Good corrosion resistance: Especially suitable for use in seawater environment, it is a typical rust-proof aluminum plate.
◆ Excellent weldability: Suitable for ship parts that require good welding performance.
◆ Good cold working performance: Strength can be improved by cold working (such as strain hardening).
◆ Medium strength: It has moderate strength to meet the needs of ship structures.
◆ Good forming and processing performance: It is easy to process into various shapes.
◆ Good fatigue resistance: Suitable for parts that are subjected to repeated stress.
5052 marine aluminum plate is the preferred material for high-speed ships such as high-speed ferries, yachts and offshore workboats. 5052-O aluminum plate is suitable for small freshwater lake yacht hulls. It is widely used in the manufacture of ship sheet metal parts, bottom plates, portholes, pressure vessels, fuel tanks and other parts. Choosing the right alloy state can meet the requirements of strength, plasticity and processing of different parts.
