5086 aluminum plate is also one of the common marine aluminum plates, with high strength and weldability, excellent corrosion resistance and good cold working performance. Compared with 5083 marine aluminum plate, 5086 marine aluminum plate is slightly inferior in strength, but has better ductility than 5083 aluminum plate. 5086 aluminum plate can be strengthened by strain hardening and cold working until the strength exceeds that of 5083 aluminum plate.
Common alloy states of 5086 marine aluminum plate include O, H111, H112, H116 and H321. It has good welding performance, especially in arc welding, and can maintain most of its mechanical strength after welding. Since heat treatment has little effect on its strength, its welding performance is more stable, which is particularly suitable for occasions requiring high corrosion resistance, good weldability and medium strength, such as weldable parts of ships and automobiles.
