8021 aluminum foil has extremely high barrier properties, which can effectively prevent water vapor penetration, ensuring that the electrolyte inside the battery is not polluted by the external environment, and also preventing the leakage of gas inside the battery, enhancing the stability and safety of the battery.
During the manufacturing process of the battery, the aluminum-plastic film needs to be sealed by a heat sealing process to seal the battery cell. During heat sealing, the inner layer of the aluminum foil and the outer plastic film melt under high temperature and pressure to form a tight bond, thereby ensuring airtightness and leak-proof performance.
When the soft-pack battery is working, if a fault occurs, the aluminum foil can effectively prevent the battery from exploding. Compared with hard-shell batteries, soft-pack batteries will first expand and release gas when the pressure is too high, rather than exploding directly, thereby improving safety.
8021 aluminum foil has high strength and good ductility. It can withstand certain pressure and puncture, and is suitable for application scenarios that require high-strength materials.
