The main products of aluminum for oxidation are 1xxx series, 3xxx series, 5xxx series and 6xxx series aluminum alloy plates and coils. Anodized aluminum sheets/coils (aluminum oxide sheets/coils) are produced by placing aluminum sheets/coils in the corresponding electrolyte and electrolyzing them under specific conditions and applied current. It can be said that the alumina coil is mainly an oxide film, relying on the compactness, protection and adhesion of the oxide film to give the alumina plate a special performance. Anodized aluminum sheet/coil has increased hardness and wear resistance, good heat resistance and enhanced corrosion resistance. Alumina sheets/coils are mainly used in rail transit, automobile vehicles, ship transportation, electronic appliances, construction and engineering molds and other fields.
Different trace elements have different effects on the anodizing effect. Pure aluminum plates coils have the best oxidation effect. Zinc element is the chemical component that has the greatest impact on the anodizing effect, so the anodizing effect of the 7 series is poor. Generally, the anodizing effect decreases in the following order: 1*** alloy > 5*** alloy > 6*** alloy > 3*** alloy > 2*** alloy > 7*** alloy. Commonly used anodized aluminum sheets coils are: 1060 anodized aluminum plate sheet coil, 3003 anodized aluminum plate sheet coil, 5052 anodized aluminum plate sheet coil, etc. After the aluminum plate coil is anodized, there is an oxide layer with a thickness of 3-20μm. In the anodizing process, the aluminum plate is placed in the corresponding electrolyte (such as sulfuric acid, chromic acid, oxalic acid, etc.) as an anode, and electrolyzed under specific conditions and applied current. The aluminum plate of the anode is oxidized, and a thin layer of aluminum oxide is formed on the surface, the thickness of which is 5-20 μm, and the hard anodic oxide film can reach 60-200 μm. The product has the characteristics of high hardness, good insulation, strong corrosion resistance, and strong absorption capacity.
The anodized aluminum plate with a standard thickness oxide film (3μm) will not change color, corrosion, oxidation or rust if placed indoors for a long time. Anodized aluminum plate with thick oxide film (10μm), can be used outdoors, and can be exposed to sunlight for a long time without deformation. The product can be continuously stamped at high speed, which is convenient for direct processing into products without complicated surface treatment, which greatly shortens the production cycle and reduces the cost of the product.
Usually, the oxide layer of aluminum coil is 3μm and below, which is mainly used for waterproofing, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, etc.; the oxide layer is 5-6μm, which is mainly used for surface technology, for spraying and color coating processes, such as license plates, curtain walls, interior decoration, Signs, advertising boards, etc.; oxide layer is 6-10μm, due to high strength, corrosion resistance, widely used, mainly used in machine shells, lighting, consumer electronics, handicrafts, household appliances, interior decoration, furniture, automobile decoration and other industries; oxide layer is 20μm, shipbuilding, aircraft, electrical components, etc.
